You know YOU are in control of your body not the doctors, right? I know what you are going through but you should make them allow you some more time- no sooner then 41 weeks for sure! With my last VBAC attempt I was given til 42 weeks and my water broke 41 weeks 6 days. It sucks, I know but please dont give up so easily!!!
There is no harm in demanding to wait longer. You could be 1 day away from going into labor but you will never know if you let them dictate your birth for you. My suggestions are bouncing on a excerise ball ( just found out today it got my baby " really low") and my pro-VBAC OB told me lots of sex for dilation ( easier said then done, Im def dreading that part! ) Do everything you can so you dont regret afterwards.
Normally, I would totally agree with you. Buuuuut.............I have gestational diabetes. Because of that (and being on insulin for it) , they won't let me go late. I knew that from the get go even with my DD. The placenta degrades faster due to the GD and insulin and they don't want to risk anything with the baby. If I didn't have GD they would've let me go longer, no problem, but unfortunately the GD changes things. They weren't really flexible with that and as much as I hate it, I understand.
Thanks for the other advice. As uncomfortable and unappealing as sex sounds, lol, I think I may try and get busy tonight.

and eggplant Parmesan!
I was maybe 1cm dilated and so done being pregnant at almost 39 weeks. I had egg plant parm for dinner (someone told me that it could induce labor and I was ready to try anything!) and then me & DH later that night. 15 minutes after I had my first contraction and DD was born 10 hours later.
Hang in there!
Wow!! Sounds like this combo works!! LOL hang in there and good luck!

Getting a little depressed
I was in your exact situation two weeks ago! I wanted a vbac so badly, it was all I talked about. I had pre-e after my cs for my first, so my dr wouldn't let me go much farther than my due date. I unfortunately didn't go into labor this time so I had the scheduled cs. It was at least 1000 times better this time! I told everyone what made my experience so bad last time and they really worked hard to make sure I didn't have the same experience this time. Recovery was a lot easier this time too and I was home after three nights in the hospital. Just think of the end result - don't think you're any less than a mom who has a vbirth. And on the plus side, how gorgeous is your dc going to be? No bruises or anything
