spinoff to fever thread: do you still keep them home
from school. DD was out yesterday b/c she had a 102 degree temp Sunday so she wouldn't have been fever free for 24 hours for Monday. Today, Tuesday she had a 100.2 this morning so I thought she'd need to stay home again but noticed a lot of people saying they don't consider 100 to be a fever.
Do you still keep them out of school if they have a slightly elevated temp but you don't regard it as a "fever"?

I would keep her home.......but I consider anything above normal body temp a fever. I don't necessarily give meds for that temp (depends how DD feels) but it's still a low grade fever in my book and I would keep her home and let her rest.

. Same here! When I worked in daycare people sent their kids in all the time with low grade fevers. Even when the kids obviously didn't feel well. While it's not against the rules to send your kids to school/daycare with low grade fevers I personally wouldn't. I think they need rest when they aren't feeling good. With teething that is something different and I might send my child depending on how they were acting.
