Spinoff - Sunscreen on infants
My LO will be turning 6 mos old during the week we go away to FL next month.
I know the "rule" is no sunscreen before 6 months. It's okay for me to use it on her then, right? WWYD?
ETA: What kind would you use?

I never heard that you shouldn't use it before 6 months... oops, we did. I always use babyganics on her since it's chemical free, I use all of their products and love them.

Yes I would use it then. I use the coppertone pur and simple
There are so many toxins in regular sunscreen.

Yes no sunscreen before 6 months. it even says so on the bottles.
I used coppertone baby.

No sunscreen before 6 months, but yes if your DC is turning 6 months on the trip I would use it. We use neutrogena baby. I use the stick type for the face and the lotion for the body. No aerosols for that young.

I took my DD to florida at 5 months old. My Pediatrician told me to use it and that the sun is stronger there. We used Water Babies 100 SPF. No problems and kept her out of the sun as much as possible.

I use babyganics. Just used it on a trip and it seemed to work just fine. Totally natural no toxins. Love their products.

This is what we use too. My DD and I are both super fair and have ezcema and we haven't had any reactions to either one.

definitely consult the EWG website. We use Badger but there is a Water Baby one that has good ratings that you can get at a regular drug store.

california baby or babyganics.
My ped specifically recommended that we DID use sunscreen before 6 months if we were going to take the remote chance of DD being outdoors or exposed to sun for any length of time. (she was 4-5 months during the summer last year) Said it was a much better option than her getting burned.
