Yet another Ergo question
When did you start using the Ergo without the infant insert? Meaning, how old was your LO and what was s/he physically capable of doing?

I'm pretty sure the instructions say to wait for 4 months - until there is good head control.

i started early maybe 8 weeks? I don't remember exactly but I rolled up a receiving blanket to help out.
They were premies too
eta; I never had the insert

This is what I heard about, too. Were they holding their heads up by then? DS is 5 weeks old, but his neck is already really strong. Even the ped was impressed!

I think the max weight is 12 lbs on the insert, so I only used it for like 3 weeks, to about a month old. Honestly, once I stopped using it, they were so much more comfortable!
