We need some suggestions, we are kinda all over the place.
We are thinking Aruba??
DH wants to do a relaxing beach vacation. I want somewhere with things for the kids to do.
By this summer our boys will be 2 and 3.5.

I am probably the only person in America who was totally disappointed in Aruba. It was extremely expensive, and I have been to nicer beaches in Florida! I just read Trip Advisor's list of Top 25 Best Family Hotels. Definitely check it out, but I know Beaches Turqs and Caicos, Beaches Negril, Club Med Florida and one place in Playa Del Carmen that looked amazing were all on there. I think an all inclusive would be better for a family-setting. That way you don't have to pay $15 every time you want a mixed drink like we did in Aruba.

I have been to Aruba and love it we stay at an all inclusive this way we can get the drinks, eat breakfast and lunch there but usually will go out for dinner or if the kids are in bad moods tired just eat there. We have stayed at the holiday inn where kids eat and stay for free it is not a five star but we like it they have things going on through out the day to entertain the kids and night time things as well. We also like to do a few excursions this way we can do different things. I am an Aruba lover I've been there a lot so I would def recommend it

I loved Aruba but didn't go with kids so that may or may not affect your perception lol. We stayed at the Radisson and LOVED it! Beach was calm and snorkeling was great.

Mine are just about the same age and we have a timeshare at the Marriott Ocean club. You can't go wrong with ocean club or surf. Def for that age I do suggest a timeshare. Nice to have a separate bedroom and eat in kithen. We have gone many times without kids and then with. Everything is walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Since we have done the restaurants before we usually do a few nights of staying out later on the beach then bringing in the boys for a bath and put them to bed. DH and I have some drinks and watch a movie in the den or go to the balcony. Just a suggestion. Water is calm and lots of family activities too. Plus, you don't have to carry a wallet during the day since you can go to either timeshare or the hotel to eat and just give them your room number. Oh, and we also have a taxi driver we use every year too bc he has a carseat and booster
