I have given the following as gifts for 2 year old girls in the past month and all of the moms say kids love the gift:
FP My first Dollhouse with all the accessories
In Toys RUs- they have a dress up trunk and an entire section of clothes. I have gotten the trunk and or other accessories to match
FP Snap n Style dolls and accesories
computer laptop by v-tech
Anything Dora

I second the doll house. My 2 year old DD has a little people doll house that she absolutely adores. She also adores anything Dora & baby dolls.

Talia loves her trunk full of dress up clothes she got for her birthday(thanks hillandron!). She also got a little talking vanity table that she loves.
