Got yelled at by my OB.....
Had our 28 week appt last night..... the doctor told me I was too laid back and I needed to worry more.....I hadn't felt the baby since the previous night, but felt since I had a doctor's appt scheduled for that night it was no big deal. well, apparently I was wrong. He sent me straight to L&D to be monitored and have a sonogram.... said I couldn't leave till I felt movement. I was there until 9pm last night.... not fun. Baby is fine, moving away, I just can't feel him all the time. We were at south Nassau but all the rooms were full so we were put in the "launch" room which was the size of a closet and hidden down a hallway far far away from everything! It was not a fun experience but at least everything is fine with baby Nicholas.....

I wouldn't have worried either if it makes you feel better. I always have days where the baby is more quiet or I am so busy I don't notice. I think that's totally normal. In any case, glad baby is okay.

I agree, my mom keeps telling me that she never felt my brother once, and yesterday I was so stressed out I barely ate....

Depending on their position, what you're doing that day, what you ate, etc the baby can either be crazy active or so quiet. If my OB sent me to L&D every time I didn't feel the baby.............I would be living there.

you're just (understandably!) cautious!
Glad everything is okay!!! That sounds like torture being stuck in a room the size of a closet all that time!!

Got yelled at by my OB.....
So happy everything is ok! My ob used to tell me "call right away if you don't feel movement, if you looked at your baby in the crib and he/she wasn't moving you wouldn't say eh I'll call the doctor tomorrow!" That kind of put it in perspective for me!

This lol. I would have an attack (and so would DH) if someone told me to worry more!

Re: Got yelled at by my OB.....
There have been times I am laying on the table in the OB office, they are doing a sono on me and they say oh look at them, moving around like crazy - and I don't feel a thing!! I think your OB shouldn't have scared you like that...I mean, glad that he sent you to be checked out but way to scare you!

Got yelled at by my OB.....
I was laid back too. I almost didn't call my OB when I couldn't walk and was in so much pain if I did. If it wasn't for my mom visiting for my shower I would not have called. THank god I did cause that was when I found out I had the blood clots in my leg. My Dr didn't yell but he did tell me I should not worry about calling.
Then I almost didn;t call when my water broke cause I thought I peed my pants!!!!!
