Wax question... Talk to me about

Armpits!
I've done Brazilian, lip and of course eyebrows.
Just never did underarm. Used to hate waxing, but since I got waxed at European Wax I've been hooked. Love my wax girl and so less painful then any other place I've been.

With my SIL's wedding coming up I was thinking of doing it so I don't have to worry about stubble.

Seriously hate shaving underarm. Never feel I get 100 percent.
So, how long do I not have to shave?
Figured it's winter so now is better.
Also, how painful?

Thanks!

Re: Wax question... Talk to me about

I can usually go about 2 weeks for underarm.

For me, it is much more painful than lips/eyebrows.

I asked when I went and she said I couldn't shave for 2 weeks. The technician also had it waxed once and couldn't even finish the first arm. Then she started working there and she said it barely hurt.

I would love to get it done, but I can't go two weeks without shaving. I am thinking of doing laser actually .

I know. It's the two week that's killing me, but didn't you love the place. Did you have the same person I used?

Best wax I ever had and only going there now on. Lol
Just thinking for me SIL's wedding it would be so easy not to have to worry about shaving morning of and praying I got it all.

Bump

Anyone have any other armpit wax stories.
How long does it last?
If I have a wedding Saturday night when should I make my wax appt?
Thanks!

Re: Wax question... Talk to me about

One of my best friends only does waxing for underarms, rarely shaving. She is always planning what to wear around her waxing schedule and if she has a big event she tries to adjust her waxing schedule for months before. It seems like a real pain but she's been doing it that way for years. They definitely get everything when it is freshly done.

I've never waxed my underarms but it seems like too much maintence & planning for me.

What is European Wax? Where is it? Are they less painful that other salons?

I only plan on using it for the wedding and maybe before e summer. Just hate shaving, but I don't like the idea of letting it grow either. Lol

European Wax is awesome. Was told about it so figured I'd try and now I'm hooked. There are a lot of locations. I go to one in nj where I live. They don't use strips to pull it off. The wax gets pulled or really rolled. Don't get me wrong... Still hurts a bit, but I think it's sooo much better than other wax salons. It's really clean and like a spa too.

Re: Wax question... Talk to me about

I used to do it. I stopped because of the maintenance. I personally didn't find it so terrible - I wax a lot, brazilian, eyebrows, lips and legs, even arms sometimes. Underarms are fast so even if it is painful it's over so quick. I do like the cleanliness after and it lasted for me about 2-2.5 weeks without anything noticeable. You do need to grow it out for a while before so that they can get a clean wax.
