Feeling guilty about my shower...need a good gift
My mom basically raised me on her own. She has a good job, but she is in no way well off. She makes do. She is throwing my baby shower at a nice restaurant, and today she just told me that she is going to buy the stroller/carseat combo. I told her that she does not buy a gift because she is hosting but she is insisting that her grandchild is her first priority.
Anyway, I can't help but feeling really guilty even though I know she wants to do all this. I really want to get her something nice. She is single, so not sure a restaurant or weekend away would work...Any ideas?

I just treated myself to an Origami Owl necklace, they are really cute. My friends mom who hosted the party filled her locket with all charms significant to her only grandson- his initial, birthstone, blue footprints....

I was going to suggest something like the Origami Owl necklace. Or pandora. I plan on getting my mom something that has "Bubby" written on it in Hebrew. I know she'll love that! Look on etsy, they have SO much stuff! We actually just ordered MIL something that says "Cousins go to Grandma's house to become Best Friends" (SIL just had a baby 5 months ago).
If not that, then I agree, a mother/daughter day. I know my mom would LOVE that and if she raised you herself she might really enjoy the last few months of you still being her "little girl".
