Did you give anything to your..

Did anyone bring their doctor anything after the baby was born? I go to a one woman practice so I have been dealing with one nurse and my doctor alone throughout my pregnancy. I was thinking of bringing them a little something but I am not sure if thats dumb or not..also what did you bring them? TIA

I was thinking about the same thing. I went to one doctor my entire pregnancy and he delivered my daughter. I was thinking about brining him something from the bakery. That's the only thing that seemed appropriate. What do you think?

We are planning on bringing the office some wine.
We did this during the holidays while I was pregnant.

I sent the office an Edible Arrangement. They loved it!

At my 6 week post pardum appt - we gave a tray of cookies to the office

Dh bought bagels and coffee for all the nurses that took care of me at the hospital - and the same for my OBGYN.

I actually gave him a picture of my DD and he loved it.. he actually gave me a babybottle candle back....

I was going to give them a cookie platter or a nut platter but then I decided that the office staff really wasn't overly friendly to me, and sometimes borderlined on rude so I decided against it. I would say that if you are happy with the people in your doctor's office then go for it. People who go above and beyond definately deserve a little recognition.

I brought a box from the bakery plus a card with DDs picture in it to my 6 week pp visit.

My practice was so big, 7 Dr's. I often felt like a number so if I gave them something, they wouldnt know who I was???? I am actually switching for my next child.

We sent a bagel breakfast to the office (a dozen bagels and creme cheese and juice is cheap!!), we did ths with all 3 of my pregnancies, I thik it cost us $15 each time

I didn't. I think it didn't occur to me the first time. I think I was just too shell shocked to have him so unexpectedly. The second time, the doctor on call delivered, so I didn't.

Nothing to my OBGYN because at that point she already closed her office and was just waiting around for myself and one other girl to deliver.
Weird situation,she was picking up to join her fiance on a cruise ship to live as the doctors on call (he was a general practice dr) so I really never saw her after the delivery.

We did buy a bagel breakfast and 2 cookie trays for the nurses at the maternity ward. I plan to do the same for this baby #2 coming soon.
Maybe something for the office,its quite large so I also feel I'd be lost in the shuffle. In the beginning of the summer I brought in a cookie tray (call it hormones) and out of a staff of 6 that was standing in front of me, I only got 1 half-hearted "thanks".

I definetly feel the hospital nurses and staff deserve the treats over the office. JMHO.
