1 yr old suddenly waking up in the middle of night wanting her bottle...ANY ADVICE?
She has STTN up until her 1 year birthday. She is getting her molars because I see that they are cutting through so I know she is waking up for that reason. She wakes up crying around 3 am. I try to console her but she keeps waking up. So I will give her a bottle and she goes back down. Do I continue giving her a bottle every time she gets up in the middle of the night?
I feed her right before she goes to sleep to fill up her tummy so I am not sure if she is really hungry or needs the bottle to soothe her? do I continue? I feel like I am creating a habit this way. Don't know what to do.

everyone is going to be different. Me - i give them the bottle bc (especially since you said her molars are coming in) its usually a short term thing. How long has it been going on?

everyone is going to be different. Me - i give them the bottle bc (especially since you said her molars are coming in) its usually a short term thing. How long has it been going on?

As the PP said, everyone is going to say something different. Me, I would NOT give a bottle. If she has been STTN for so long without one then she obviously does not need it throughout the night. It's just not a habit I would want her falling back on. In the long run it might end up being more of a headache for you.
To comfort her when she wakes up I would try other things like holding her, soft music, etc. I would avoid the bottle at all costs but that's just me.

I would not give a bottle. The bottle isnt because you DD is hungry it is most likely a comfort thing. I found to that when they are teething sometimes it is uncomfortable to drink and eat. SO my guess it that she is not waking all this time due to teeth.

I agree, give motrin. Also, when you pick her up does she stop crying and fall asleep. If she does I would not give the bottle. When DS teeths I sometimes give him a bottle and he falls asleep but only if he doesnt fall asleep after I try comforting him.

I wouldn't go back to giving a bottle - she's not asking for it out of hunger but because she wants to be comforted. Try to substitute that comfort in another way (paci?) and get her out of the habit of getting a bottle half way through the night.
If you know she's teething, try giving Advil before bed to help her STTN
