i started around two months i think...when his neck was strong enough to lift his head.

I started putting her on her tummy around 4 weeks. I only do it for a few minutes at a time. 5 minutes here and there for a total if 30 a day.

I started from birth. All 4 of my kids could lift their heads up with no problem. I did tummy time on the boppy pillow. All of them could lift up their chest and rest on their forearms by 1-2 weeks old.

Never did! My DS hated it and would cry like mad. He cired all the time as a newborn that I did nto want to make it worse by puttign him on his stomach. He is 14 months and fine, sat up by 4 months walking at 9 so I don't think it hurt him one bit.

as soon as the belly button stub fell off. Started once a day, now 2 months in, about 10 minutes each time, about 3 times a day now.

I started around 4 weks as well if not a bit sooner. Ped said that was great and he is doing very well with it at about 10 weeks now.

maybe 2 months or so... but i did not do it very often, DS would get irritated easily. maybe a few minutes a day. so far he seems to be doing well though (rolling over and sitting up unassisted for a little bit, he is 6 months)

We started as soon as the stump fell off. We put her on her tummy until she cries.
We started with 30 sec to 1 min or so, but now she will go for several mins.
She is 8 weeks and has a very strong head.
You can also work some of the same muscles holding them upright on your shoulder - DD lifts her own head away from my body, so she is working out those neck muscles. Hopefully it gets stronger soon, she's got major double chin issues in photos

I started as soon as her umbilical stump fell off. That was after a week or so, and she rolled over for the first time at 2.5 weeks! My DD is one of the rare children who never really minded tummy time.

DS is almost a month old. I let him rest on my chest and he lifts his head up. He likes being held, so I don't put him on the mat much yet, but I'm planning on starting soon.

I think around 3 weeks. At first she didn't mind it at all because she had bad gas issues and it felt good. Then once gas was under control she hated it, but I still did it a few mins here and there throughout the day. She had incredible head control early on and I am convinced tummy time had a lot to do with this

Same here. It was only for a couple of minutes though. Now at 4 weeks trying to do it everyday. But she only lasts for about 5 mins before whining. So I flip her onto her back on her play mat.
