I'm really not sure how much more I can handle
7 Years ago I was pregnant with DD. I managed to get thorough 9 months of pregnancy without even a bump in the road. Now here I am with baby #2, which took DH and I 7 years to decide to go for, and I keep getting awful news.
First OB tells me babies rt ventricle is slightly enlarged. I get referred to mfm and she tells me more bad news, baby has bilateral chorid plexis cysts. Tells me to get Maternity21 test to check for trisomy 18 and another sono in 3 weeks. Now, OB calls me at 8:15pm last night to tell me that the bloodwork that the lab forgot to do for my NT scan came back (I had to go back for 2 more test that for some reason they didn't do) and I tested positive as a carrier for spinal muscular atrophy!!!!
I cant do this anymore. How am I supposed to be enjoying this with all this scary stuff going on? I never imagined it to be this way! I have such an appreciation for all the women who have struggled to get where you are and commend your strength!!! Just needed to vent.

If you're a carrier now then you were the first time around also... They just didn't do that test then.
Have them double check your results and then go from there. Get your hubs into be checked ASAP...it very well may not even be an issue.

So sorry you are gong through this.  I can't imagine how stressed and scared you must be. How far along are you? Is there anything the doctors can do? Praying for you!!

Thanks everyone! DH went for the bloodwork today so will find out results in about 5 days hopefully for the spinal muscular atrophy. I also did the bloodwork for Maternity21 so 8-10 days for that. I just pray it all comes back ok I can move forward from here and enjoy this pregnancy!!!!!
