yet another temping Q
Right now I have just been using OPKs and we're just seeing what happens in the next couple of months. If it gets to the point where I want to start temping, I'm not sure how I would do it. From what I understand, you should temp at the same time every day, right? I have a really messed up work schedule. I rotate 12 hour day/night shifts (yes, it sucks as bad as you think it does!). Obviously with that kind of schedule, I don't wake up at the same time every day. What would I do? Temp when I wake up regardless of the time? Hopefully I won't have to start temping, I'm waiting another few days for AF or to test!
Thanks ladies! I've learned so much from this board already!!

Re: yet another temping Q
i recently read Taking Charge of Your Fertility which talks a lot about charting your cycles (with temping and other fertility signs). it's really helpful and a quick read so i would recommend it. there was a small section on what to do about temping if you work nights or have erratic schedules - basically you just want to get your first temp upon awakening from your longest, most restful sleep. so whenever that happens for you day to day is when you need to temp. it can be more challenging to get a clear pattern of highs and lows in your situation though
