When to test?

So I'm probably 8dpo today if I O'd when I think I did this month (not temping, just OPKs and checking CM and trying to figure out my cycles based on that). I know you should use FMU when taking a HPT but I work nights 7p-7a. What would be considered FMU for me? When I was up in the afternoon because it'll be more concentrated or in the morning when I get home from work (right around this time)? I try to be good about drinking lots of water at work all night so by the time I get home in the morning I have already peed several times overnight. I also usually have to get up around noon to pee and then I wake up around 3-4 pm. I'm off for the next few days, so I'll be able to test in the morning this month. Hopefully I won't have to worry about it after this month!

Just try not to pee for 3-4 hours and then test. But he more days you hold off, the less important the "FMU" rule is.

I agree, try to hold it at least 4 hours. But I'd wait until at least 12 dpo to test if you can.

Thanks ladies! I was going to try to hold out until later in the week, and I'll be off and then working day shifts by then anyway.

I tested on 10 dPO and 12 DPO and it was snow white... tested on 15 DPO and thats when I finally got a line. I know you are anxious and its REALLY hard but try to be patient!!

i work nights too. I tested when i woke up because then I hadn't peed in a few hours.
