Surprising News
So my DS will be 6 months old next week and I took an HPT this morning and I'm pregnant!! I am in shock to say the least. A little panicked as they are only going to be 14 months apart. OMG!!! Just had to share! Anyone have babies close in age?? Please tell me this is going to be ok!!!

Congratulations!!!
I don't know about the parenting side of it, but I'm 11 months younger than my sister and we are SO close -- I LOVE having a sibling so close in age. My sister has 2 boys who are a year and a half apart -- they are really close too (they're only 1 & 2.5). I want to have another LO close to DS too!

Congrats. I was in the same situation as you in 2010, boys would have been 1 yr apart. My youngest ended up being a preemie & my boys are 10.5 months apart. In the beginning it was extremely difficult. Now that they are 3 & 2.5 year old its nice.

No experience with that age difference but congratulations! That is so exciting! Try not to worry too much, things have a way of working themselves out. There are many people with kids very close together who love it.

Thanks ladies! I know it's a blessing. We had a hard time getting pregnant with DS and went through some fertility issues so I am so happy we don't have to do that again! I know it will be fine but the fear keeps creeping up!

My ds and dd are 15 months apart.. I have to say it was the best thing that ever happened! They are now 2 and 3 1/2 and have each other as playmates.. I found it easy in the beginning bc the baby did not do much and I still had time for my ds. It got a little harder when she started getting around.. It's all good and you will love it:) enjoy the time alone with your first..

Congrats on your pregnancy!!! My two DS's are also 15 mos apart. I felt the same exact way....in the beginning I thought it was extremely easy and now I'm in the difficult phase...I'm hoping it gets easier when the little one is 2!

Thank you so much. This makes me feel a little better!! My DS is a really good baby so hopefully he is a good toddler and this next baby is just as good!!

Congrats!!! My boys are 12 months apart. :) They are now 2 and 3. It was tough at times but it's the absolute best! I'm fortunate they were the same gender so they have a lot in common. They are literally best friends and hope that continues till they're old and gray. They look for each other when the other is napping and save treats for each other. It's amazing! You're a lucky mama!!!

My older two were 15 months apart and it was easier for me than the larger 3-year age gap. I loved it and would have had them all close together if we could!

I was lucky enough to have a good pregnancy for the second one.. I will tell you it got a little harder carrying the infant carry to my second floor apt as he got older and heavier and I got bigger. :)

The second pregnancy was tough because I had a small baby to care for and at 9 months my DS had just started walking. He was all over the place. That's tough while being very preggo. You are so busy with a baby that sometimes you forget you're even pregnant and you def don't relax and enjoy it like you did the 1st time. Your body also hasn't gone back to 100% yet BUT the up side is the second go around the months fly by :)
