when did your emotions go back to normal?!
I've always been on the sensitive side, but ever since DS was born I cry ALL the time now! I had DS 13 months ago. I recently realized how bad it is...I couldn't contain myself when I saw safe haven last week in the theater and then today, I cried during a segment of Live with Kelly. It seems to be worse when a Mother is sick or someone is dying.I get terrified I could get sick and not be here for DS..Does anyone else deal with this? I don't think its bad enough to seek help but I get really embarrassed when it happens around other people! Does it get better?!

Ugh! I'm the same exact way. DD is 9 months and I cry at everything...DH calls me a sap. I was always a little emotional, but since she's been born - it's gotten way worse.
That "I am a princess" commercial on the Disney Channel, throws me into hysterics every time I see it.

when did your emotions go back to normal?!
I cam totally relate to being VERY emotional when a mother is sick. Parenthood killed me this season because the mother had cancer and I cried and cried every episode. I think having a child is a game changer. I can't handle seeing mothers sick bc it makes me think what if that happens to me?! I think it's part of being a mom.

It never goes away.
I never used to be this emotional but now ANYTHING with children- I get hysterical.
It's like now that i have a DD of my own I can relate to terrible things happening so much more.
It's horrible!

I can beat your princess commercial..I saw the kindergarten bus dropping off the kids in front of the school. I burst out in tears and had to pull over because I couldn't imagine letting my DS ride a bus

I don't think it's ever going to go away.
I can totally relate to you, and DH even will turn to watch me during any commercial, movie or tv show that seems the slightest bit emotional because he KNOWS I'm about to cry. It's embarrassing because I was never like this before.

I'm 5 months pp and the same way. I've heard it can take a year to get back to normal but after reading these posts I'm starting to think that is bs!

Ummmmm never?  Sorry, but I am still like this 4.5 years later! I tear up at the silliest things, like DD patting DS on the head or one if one of my kids is extra-polite.

The sensitivity and worry only got worse for me. I cry over anything kid/family related. I worry over everything all the time. I find it to be one of the hardest parts of parenting!

I too get very emotional at times I wouldn't normally be bothered.
I sometimes think that having a child grow up before your very eyes makes you think how fast life flies by.

Same here! 3 years later it still hasn't gone away. If I hear a sad story I can't get it out of my head for daaaaays.
