Potty Traning -night time - WWYD ... Advice/Suggestions please

DD has been potty trained for about a month now fully during the day. She is 25 months. we did the 3 day potty training method and it worked great expect for night. For those who dont know with 3 day you go straight to underwear no pull ups or diapers at all.

she is fine durning naps she will wake up fry however at night its a different story.

She does not drink anything 2 hours before bed and she drink 2 maybe 3 cups a day max.

She pees before bed if i hear crying after she goes t bed i get her up take her to the the bathroom and she pees.

However she still pees in the middle of the night she will cry i change her underweaer bed sheets and put her back to bed she will wake up and be soaked again.

the amount of pee at night is crazy you would think she is drkining 10 cups right before bed.

The whole changing the sheets, underwear, Pjs, and having to do laundry every other day is getting old. I feel like i have a newborn again with having to get up in the middle of night every night (sometimes its an issue getting her back to sleep).

Im about to put pullup on at night with regular underwear underneath to at least cut down on changing sheets and pjs but im afraid its going to ruin her being trained during the day. i aslo look at it i have gone this long do i really want to start pullups??!!??

so WWYD pull ups a night something else? I will take any advice suggestions etc.

I'm a really bad person to ask for advice but I feel your pain. DD day trained in a weekend, one accident while awake. Nighttime is still a struggle and she's 3! I tried stopping all liquids after dinner, waking her to pee and she still wet the bed. I have her in a pull-up now and will tackle it again soon :( I feel your pain!

Dd just trained a few weeks ago and we were lucky that she was ready for night time too. In the month she's been trained we have had only 2 night accidents. But I would NOT hesitate to use pull ups if its happening every night. I think she will be fine during the day in underwear. From what I read they have to be physically ready to hold it all night. 10-12 hrs is long time for a little bladder. I would def use then. Plenty of people do.

We also trained DD using the 3 day potty training method.
She has been trained during the day for almost 3 months
However, she still wears pull ups for night time. I did not want to follow the night time 3 day potty training - I did not want to wake her up ect..
Wearing pull ups at night has not affected her at all.
We call them her night time underwear. She still wakes up with them wet but I have noticed that it is no where near as much as it use to be. DD is only 31 months old I feel she is still young.
I would just do the pull ups for night time and wait until she is ready.

Everything I read said staying dry overnight is a physical development, not something you can necessarily train. I had my DD fully potty trained in three days too, I ditched the diapers and did panties all day, but kept her in pull ups at night for a few months longer. One day she just started waking up dry night after night and after a few straight dry weeks we knew it was ok to keep her in panties 24/7.

My advice, just use the pull ups at night. It honestly had ZERO effect on my DD being trained during the day. She never had accidents and never regressssed. She just simply wasn't ready at night to be in panties like she was during the day.

My older son (and many people I know) night trained months later. I think that is relatively normal and it comes with time. Some kids are deep sleepers and it is hard for them to wake up to go and eventually they learn to hold it til morning. I also found once he day trained he pee'd a lot more at night. I'd have to use a diaper with a diaper doubler.

Your child is still young so it would be hard to reason and reward. I had let me son (he was almost 3 when he trained) get totally comfy with day time and then we did a reward once we started wearing diapers to bed a couple months later. It was probably a good 3-4 months until totally done. I just would make him wear those really big night time pullups (which were more like undies and I never used pull up when I trained so I think he thought they were undies). Then once it got better I put real undies under his pull ups. I would give him a sticker for every day he woke up dry and if he got 10 days he'd get a reward. At first he'd go a few days and have an accident but eventually he did the 10 days and then was good after that!! He barely ever had an accident. My 2nd son night trained on his onw before he was totally out of diapers in the day - so go figure - different kids different personalities.

Everything I've read says that nighttime training usually takes a few months longer than day training. It's a long time to hold it, and their little bodies just aren't physically ready yet. Definitely put her in pull ups at night!! In a few months, she'll probably start waking up dry on her own, then you could go back to underwear.

DS is fully potty trained, and wears diapers at night. It doesn't affect his day training.

We went to pullups at night. We call them her princess underwear since we buy the huggies. She is normally dry in the morning and goes potty as soon as she wakes up. When she goes 2 weeks dry I will switch her to undies and then put her potty in her room for awhile. Night training takes time because they have to wake up from the feeling and have enough time to get the undies off and get to the potty. We do use normal underwear during the day.

I did the three day training method and I had the same thing for both of my girls they were trained by the third or fourth day during the day but nighttime took about a little over a month what I did was semi limit the drinking at the end of the night put them in training underwear from one step ahead and I would wake them up starting at 1030at night for a while then extended it to midnight for awhile and then 2am for awhile and then 4am for awhile and then by then they would make it to 6am/7am which is wake up time

Eta both of my girls were fully trained day and night in little over a month and they were both 2 1/2yrs old
