Pack n play or bassinet?

For DD I had a bassinet never used the packs play at our house. I lost all my baby stuff in sandy just trying to figure out what I need. If you used a pack n play as a bassinet, would you recommend it? Also which one?

Pack n play or bassinet?

We used the pack and play with the bassinet feature and it came in very handy. He doesnt like being in the pack and play very much now but it was great for the first 7 months or so! Between us and grandparents we have three different ones. Chat Icon All are Graco and we have had no issues with any of them...

Pack n play or bassinet?

I used both with dd, I had the bassinet in my bedroom for nighttime and I had pack n play in my living room. The changing station on the pack n play was a life saver for me for the first month or so bc of my c-section it wasn't so easy to walk up and down the stairs (I had a very difficult recovery) however as she got older she pretty much hated the pack n ah and never went in it

Re: Pack n play or bassinet?

DD had a pack and play and she hated it. We had it in our bedroom when we first came home from the hospital and she did not sleep in it at all(screamed everytime we put her in it). Now nearly 6 years later they have all these new gizmos and gadgets....I guess I would say go with a bassinet and a rock and play those are popular I think.

Re: Pack n play or bassinet?

For ds we had a bassinet but he never really liked to sleep in it. For my future dd we just bought a rock n play to use. Based on all the reviews and raves about it, I thought it would be a great purchase for us

Pack n play or bassinet?

We used the rock and play for DS 2 - it was great. It is also very easy to move around the house compared to the pack and play or a bassinette.

I can't comment on the rock n play
We had both. The bassinet was a waste IMO they really didn't like it.
They slept in the top part of the pack n play together until 3 months until they went into their crib.

I got one with a changing table attachment which came in handy for middle of the night changes in our room.

I just saw a pic if the rock and play. Is that safe fit them to sleep in at night? It looks more like a napper

Pack n play or bassinet?

We use a bassinet that has wheels so we can move it from the bedroom to the living room. We have a small apartment and had no room for the pack and play to stay open. We brought it to my moms house, and will use it for traveling instead of in the house.
