I just can't see spending 1200.00 for 2 nights...I'm trying to find out what the hype is all about. I don't need  just quiet time, relaxation, wine, good food, etc.

I went there as a teenager. It is a romantic cabin. It has atmosphere and charm, but the price is really steep.

We really like it, spa is great and lots to do outdoors. However, I prefer Spa at Norwich Inn. It is cheaper, food is better, and Mohegan Sun, Foxwoods and MGM Grand are all there so you can leave and drive over and gamble or eat there if you want.

It's very over priced. I've been there 5 or 6 times over the last decade (work conferences). The property is very Stephen King-esque (he actually vacations there regularly). The grounds are beautiful. It's perfect if you're a hiker. I have always found it a bit stuffy though. The food is wonderful (as it should be for the price). I'll leave you with this: at the last conference, one of my colleagues had to switch rooms at midnight because there were 3 mice running around her room.
