I've done that! Awesome! You should also check out Lake Minnewaska!
I love the drive up there! There is a little ice cream shop that I can't remember the name of but whenever we used to go we'd stop and get double dipped cones!
My sister is going to New Paltz starting in Sept for college and I can't wait to visit and have our picnics at Lake Minnewaska just like the old days when I was in college at St. Mary's.

we did the whole thing - the scramble/labarynth and the lemon squeeze - it was awesome.
