I've never done this before but...help dress me for a wedding?
DH's cousin is getting married March 10th. I am not in the wedding party but we are very close with them. The wedding is black tie. I had an outfit set to go but then we found out I'm pregnant, and the dress I planned to wear is quite form-fitting. I will be 8 weeks at the wedding so we don't want anything that screams pregnancy, obviously, but also nothing that will accentuate bloat.
MIL really wants me to wear a gown. I'm 27, so I'd like something young-ish but not prom-like. Make sense?
Help! I can probably swing up to about $500. Thanks!!!

I'm in love with this dress from Victoria's Secret! It has a draped front so I think it will conceal any little bump you might have by then.

Love that blue one from Nordstrom! L&T had a few nice ones.
This was my FAVE but of course it's $519- Tadashi Shoji.
This one was pretty as well- Xscape one shoulder embellished gown- $199
Decode 1.8 Embellished Halter Gown- $239
This BCBG gown is HOT! Daring, but it's my other fave. Maxine Evening Gown- $448

You should check out Rent the Runway.
I use it for all of my black tie functions and its more cost effective and you can dress the body you have now.

Wow, I just checked them out! Gorgeous stuff! I didn't know it would be so reasonably priced. I mean, it's still expensive, but I'd feel better about it knowing it's a designer dress.
Love this Vera Wang gown! $125 to rent!

I LOVE the Rent the Runway idea - I looked at the site and they have such great stuff. I'm a bit worried about fit though. I'm quite short and obviously can't have anything from the site altered - have those who have used it had luck with sizing??

They did seem to be pretty thorough. I wonder if you could put in a temporary hem- you know those sticky hems? I use them on my pants a lot because I'm too lazy to get them all altered.
Also, they give you the option of gettiing a second size for free. That was what made me pretty interested in it. I'm always either a 4 and 6 depending on the brand, style, etc. so it's a crap shoot.
