Does anyone else do this?

Or am I the only crazy one??

So... I'm sure everyone figures out their due date immediately- like for me my due date would be 10/30, which happens to be the anniverasry of when my husband first started dating :) (a good sign right?!)

But I love trying to figure out dates the of every other milestone... when each trimester starts, when I should go for my first doctors appointment, when I'm going to tell family/friends, when I'm going to tell coworkers, when we'll find out the sex of the baby... I just spent an hour of my work day figuring out all this stuff. A- because I am bored at work since half of our office is out today from the blizzard, and B- because I am maybe just a little obsessed about planning!

Also I am constantly looking at the calendar to figure out "how pregnant I would be" during certain events that I have planned- such as weddings, vacations, etc.

Its kinda fun and exciting figuring it all out. Also it helps the 2WW go faster!!

Like you said, it's kind of a fun distraction.

Totally do that. In fact, I just printed the date colander from about.com so I can see each week. Crazy!

Yup, totally do this. As soon as AF comes I check to see when the next possible due date and end of first trimester would be.

Totally. I already hoped that if I am pregnant this month that I will deliver on our 5 yr anniversary 10/19. My due date would be 10/23 so it's possible Chat Icon Last month I jumped the gun and downloaded a pregnancy tracker after I got my BFP I have since deleted it since I thought it would jinx me lol. I love trying to plan what month I will be in for events!! I think it's more common than people want to admit

I've definitely done the due date calculations before but hadn't even considered checking into the other milestones! is it crazy that I think that is a cool idea? Chat Icon

Re: Does anyone else do this?

I used to do that..... and then I had many failed cycles.... losses... and I started to just take it one day at a time. I think it's fun to look on the calendar and seeing how pregnant you'll be for different things but I just feel like it adds so much unnecessary pressure. Whenever you get and stay pregnant you will have plenty of holidays/events to share your excitement with! Chat Icon

I SHOULD be taking it one day at a time- I am just a planner!

I had a loss too- my due date would have been March 2nd but I was in a wedding on Dec 1st. So I freaked out and almost ordered another bridesmaid dress as soon as I found out I was preg!! I held off on that but I did buy a maternity dress for her bachelorette party! Hopefully I will have a chance to wear it to soemthing else :)
