Anyon have 3 kids really close in age?

DS is 27 months old and DS2 is 8 months old. It has definitely been challenging at times but things are finally settling in. I conceived both DS through IVF - my husband and I both had a multitude of fertility issues but low and behold, somehow, I am finding myself pregnant again! It is a shock for so many reasons. I was planning of having more children but feel desperately in need of just letting things be for a while and focusing on the family I have and other parts of our life. I have to say that I am somewhat devstated by this pregnancy. I am scared of how I will handle all 3 without losing my sanity. There are financial factors that are also an issue but my sanity is what I worry about the most. Anyone have a similiar experience? I feel so guilty for not being grateful especially after knowing what its like to want a baby so bad and struggle to conceive. TIA

My 3rd isn't here yet but I am in a similar boat. I struggled a bit to have my twins and then found out I was pregnant with my 3rd. It was a surprise and I was in shock. Denial too. I didn't take a test until after I was almost 2 weeks late. DH and I freaked out when it was positive..."what are we going to do?" cried etc. Financial fears were the worst for us. We were on the fence about a 3rd and finances and fertility issues were the reasons. Ill be honest it took a few weeks to completely grasp it but now we are so excited. With 5.5 weeks to go yes I have my days where I panic..."how am I going to do this" but I know things always work out and while things may be different (and crazy) for a while I know I won't want to change it for the world.

My sister has 3, all 14 months apart. When I see her tending to all 3 of them at the same time, I see that it is rough (she has a 3 month old, 17 month old, and 31 month old), but she does have help at times. She has a nanny that comes to her house during the day (she works FT) and then my mom will go by after work to help her give the girls a bath, etc. Its probably rough in the beginning but as they get older I think it will be nice that they will all be close in age. In the end everything works out somehow! Congrats!

Congratulations!

I had 3 in 13 months (and I work full time). First 2 years were very hard. We made our marriage our #1 priority. Once we did that, everything fell into place.

Now it is so easy. They all are pretty much at the same point in interests, socializing etc. They are close as can be. No more diapers, bottles etc.

My little ones were almost 3.5 and almost 2.5 when my last baby was born.

Honestly, i love it and wish my older one was closer in age.

My 3rd isn't here yet but any day now I will have 2 that are 26 months apart and 2 that are 21 months apart.
I have to admit I'm a nervous wreck because my house is chaotic already and to imagine adding a baby to it is scary. DH works nights so I do mostly everything by myself. I picture bathing 3 kids, getting 3 kids ready at night and in the AM.
I feel guilty that I'm not as excited about the baby as i was with the others but all I can do is hope that everything will eventually work itself out and we will find a routine and things won't be so crazy.
Don't beat yourself up about how you feel but I am sure all will work out for you as well.

Same boat here too. We tried for years to have children and went through many different doctors and fertility treatments to concieve our boys. Then we got pregnant on our own when the boys were only 9 months old, and it was a SHOCK. truth be told -I am in denial 98% of the time about the entire situation. It is how i cope best ! DH works longgggggg days and nights and I am alone with them a lot. I fear for my sanity!!! The next few years are going to be rough

I'm pg with my 3rd now.

My older 2 are 20 months apart. My little one will be 20 months younger than the middle child.

I don't expect it to be easy- but having 2 under 2 wasn't as difficult as I imagined it would be.

Thanks everyone. I am feeling just slightly better. It also doesn't help that I only found out I was pregnant at 11 weeks. I feel like this baby will be here before I know it.
