what do you feed your 12 month old??
It seems my DD only wants to eat chicken, pasta, and cheese. Some fruits on occasion and snacks of course. When she doesn't want something, she just throws it on the floor. I guess I am looking for some ideas from everyone. Maybe I can try something different. TIA!!

what do you feed your 12 month old??
My ds is 10 months but he eats just about anything. Today he had carrots, zucchini, hummus on toast and a small piece of cheese for dinner. He actually really loves the hummus which I was surprised about! Another thing he likes is zucchini in very light tomato sauce to give it flavor. Also soups, annies mac, meatballs, chicken, yogurt and a variety of fruit and veggies.
Eta ds much prefers finger foods and hates being spoon fed unless its yogurt... He loooves black beans! Sometimes I wonder if its because of the taste or just that its easy to pick up though!

Re: what do you feed your 12 month old??
DS likes finger food much more than stuff he eats from a spoon (oatmeal, yogurt, applesauce). He eats pasta, cheese, puffs, scrambled eggs, cheerios, crackers/bread veggies: peas, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, broccoli, spinach (mixed with applesauce) fruit: apples, pears, peaches, bananas strawberries, oranges, avacado
So far he's not a fan of chicken. He has tasted fish fillet. I havent given him beef yet

Ds enjoys all fingers foods. For breakfast he has either pancakes or french toast w/a jar of fruit. I haven't started eggs yet but plan to next week. Lunch he has chicken nuggets or jarred food, sometimes I have left overs from dinner and I make him a fresh sweet potato. For dinner, he has whatever we are eating, meatballs, chicken, or if I am on the run he has a stage 3 jar. We aren't huge pasta eaters so I tend to slack on the pasta. I also tried toast with cream cheese this week which was a huge hit!

DD just turned 1 and will eat everything except bananas, which she absolutely hates. Some of our staples include:
For breakfast-oatmeal with cinnamon, pancakes, eggs (scrambled, veggie omelette, hard boiled, or over hash browns), waffles, Cheerios (with milk), yogurt with cut up fruit, bagel with cream cheese, fruit and yogurt smoothie (homemade).
Lunch-turkey/cheese roll ups, tuna/egg/chicken salad, leftovers, pasta with EVOO, garlic & broccoli/butter/alfredo/marinara/meat sauce, hummus sandwich.
She also likes black eyed peas, black beans, chick peas, beets, avocados, guacamole, cherry tomatoes, flaky fish like tilapia, salmon, shrimp, zucchini, edamame, soups (lentil, miso, chicken noodle, matzo ball, chowders), steak. She's not too fond of chicken.

DS is funny - one day he will eat something up and the next day with the same food won't even touch it.
breakfast - pancakes, cheerios, the kid LOVES bananas!!!!, french toast sticks, waffles, toast, eggs
lunch - chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, leftovers from dinner, eggs, pasta, fish sticks
snacks - cheerios, veggie packets, apple sauce packets, yogurt
dinner - he eats what we do. when he doesn't i put some ketchup on it and gurantee he eats it! usually chicken, pasta, chopped meat, veggies, etc

Re: what do you feed your 12 month old??
Copying/pasting from other thread...
Mine are almost 1 year now, but since 10 months have been eating only table food. Stella has 4 teeth and Hudson has 2 teeth (which he just got this month).
To save me from constantly writing homemade, everything is homemade and obviously this is a list of choices, not that they eat it all at one time
breakfast = buttermilk pancakes, waffles, french toast sticks, eggs (scrambled, hard boiled, in omelet, in mini frittata), fresh fruit (bananas, blueberries, strawberries, blackberries, raspberry, etc).
lunch = leftovers from dinner, greek yogurt with fruit, quesadillas (with anything inside - chicken, beans, cheese, veggies, etc); grilled cheese, mac & cheese (sometimes with peas), pasta with sauce, pasta with butter & edamame & parm, pasta with peas, breaded chicken (baked)
dinner = whatever we're eating. literally! they eat anything. pasta, pizza, chicken, meat, fish... meatloaf, hamburgers, roasted chicken, roasted veggies, baked chicken, broiled salmon,... whatever the whole family is eating.
They really will eat almost anything!!! The only food I cook specifically for the kids is breakfast (only because DH and I eat on the go or before they wake up). Otherwise, it's just whatever we're eating.
