Amniotic Fluid borderline low.......
Has anyone experienced this? I am 30wks 5 days and I had a growth sono last night and when they measured the amniotic fluid it was 8.4cm, which is still within the normal limits; however my doctor is concerned because he said it is borderline low. >8 is normal. He said now they are going to have to monitor my fluids every two weeks by sono and if they drop any further I will need additional tests. Anyone go through this

Drink tons of water. They said ine were low (ended up beign because I had a slow leak)
But my sis had this and she was monitored and drank tons. She was fine.

Amniotic Fluid borderline low.......
I had low fluids with DD1 (it was a 4) and was induced right away, but I was over 39w at that point. I asked my dr if it is likely to happen again with this pregnancy and if there is any way to prevent it, and he said that drinking water has nothing to do with it.

i was just coming on to post this . i just had my 32 week sono snd mine is 9 so i have to go back next week for another sono .. im so worried idk whst this means. whats it from whats it mean? dr was very vague i guess didnt want to worry me. just said to rest snd lay on side not flat on back

My high risk said to drink more water..like almost a gallon a day. I'm in the bathroom all day but it helped!

Amniotic Fluid borderline low.......
My friend had this at about that point. She drank lots of water and made it to about ten days before her due date when they decided to take the babufor the low fluid. She had a c section only because baby was breech.

How did they determine that you had a slow leak?

My dr was pretty vague as well until I started asking a bunch of questions. He told me not to stress about it. Just drink lots of water, no excercise and to take it easy at home. If it doesn't improve when I have my next sono then there will be more testing, like fetal monitoring and stuff like that.

I had it with my second. I was diagnosed at 31 weeks. I was always between 5 and 9...usually on the lower end. I upped my water a ton and went on modified bed rest. I was at the doctor at least 2x per week for sonos and non stress tests, but i went to 39 weeks before I went into labor. The nicu doctor was in the delivery room in case there was an issue, but there were none.
