Recent btdt nsuh moms : a couple of questions
So this will be my third time at nsuh but the other two times it was 08 and 10 and it was the old maternity ward and I shared a room both times.....
1.) where exactly is the new maternity ward if its not on the 3rd floor anymore? 2.) what exactly is this new policy about rooming in w the baby? Do they force u to room in w the baby at night? 3.) are they still giving similac formula? 4.) I can't remember ....when can u schedule a hospital tour and is there a fee for the tour?
And please share any experiences....positive or negative

Re: Recent btdt nsuh moms : a couple of questions
I had my DD there in June.
The maternity ward is on the 3rd floor. But they also have rooms on 4 and 5.
You can absolutely bring the baby to the nursery at night. They will bring the baby back to you around 7 or 8 am.
They gave us Similac formula.
The tour is free. I waited pretty late to schedule but they were able to squeeze me in. Tours fill up fast, so be sure to give yourself some time. Not sure when you "should" schedule, but I had women in mine who weren't showing yet and some ready to pop.
The rooms are beautiful and awesome that they are all private. I wasn't crazy about the nursing staff starting on Day 2. I know they are busy, but I was very ignored. I even had to change my own sheets on my bed since no one came to me (I know nurses don't do this, but someone should have!). Labor and Delivery was fantastic, but not being in private recovery sucked.
Good luck to you!
