DD got one of the flu shots. Had high fever tested positive for the flu and it was prescribed for her. I DID give it. I guess its the comfort level of the individual. I work in a hospital and it scared me to think she could wi d up there

I think the difference here though is your DC HAD the flu and was currently sick with it. Whereas her ped just gave it for preventative measures and her DC does not have the flu.

Not a chance would I give that stuff to an infant. I wouldn't even recommend it for an adult. I actually know someone who used it and loss their sense of smell ! There have also been reports of hepatitis, as well as nose bleeds in children.

Definitely NOT! I am not comfortable with the potential side effects and no long term studies have been conducted as to potential impact on children.

You can give you child elderberry syrup to strengthen the immune system, this is what we give DS:

Tamiflu as a preventative measure...No way especially not in an infant.

Tamiflu if they were officially diagnosed with the flu. Absolutely

Thank you again! I appreciate all the advice...I feel much better in my decision to not give him the tami flu as a prevention. I am watching him closely though...Chat Icon
