Baby Shower/Sprinkle for a third?

Would you have one? Did you? DD will be 5 when DD2 is born, we basically saved everything from her, we knew we were going to have another, but there are still things we will need and some things we didn't get with her since we had an apt, and now we have a house. I am not sure if my family is throwing me one, and just wanted some outside thoughts on what others would think!

ETA I didn't mean I would throw one for myself, I reread it and it didnt come out like I meant it, lol baby brain! Just mean I just feel weird having one with number three

I feel a little funny having one (Im having my third also)...my oldest is 5.5 and my 2nd is 4...my MIL and SIL want to do something, so we are probably going to do a gender reveal party and I'm thinking of asking them to put no gifts on the invites...we really don't need much, and I really just want an excuse to celebrate this baby, since we had some issues getting here, though most people don't know about that. I don't mind getting invited to them, but I feel funny having one for myself.

I am prob having a shower/sprinkle for my 2nd (dh's 3rd). My dd will be 7 by the time this baby is born and i need some stuff. I wouldn't have one for myself, I would just buy what I need but i am pretty sure my mil, mom, and sil will be having one for me. I had a small sprinkle at my house for my friends 3rd and 4th. I love baby showers so I think every baby should be celebrated :)

I wish I was having one. My 1st , my son 8 yrs ago didnt have a baby shower but my 2nd, a daughter 5 years ago they gave me a big baby shower. Problem is now Im having a boy and even tho i saved everything from my daughter, it's all pink so I cant use it and I have nothing saved from 8 yrs ago from my son. So now I have to start from scratch so it sucks and it's gonna hurt $$ wise. I think if there is 4 + years age difference and a different gender, I dont see why people would be against it. Ive thrown a 3rd child baby shower and gotten alot of blacklash then so I know it can be controversial in some families. I just think it's stupid that celebrating one child is considered more important then another. Every baby deserves acknowledgement even if it's nothing fancy.

Lord willing I will be having one. My 15 soon to be 16 year old wants to throw something.
