Btdt so would u use a Colgate ultimate crib mattress...
That was used for your first child since 08...it's one of those mattresses with the one side is for newborn stage and the other side is for toddler yrs....so she just got a twin bed and her mattress is in great condition but I'm not sure if you're supposed to use/reuse them for a new child after a certain time?????thanks in advance!!!

I am still using my 1st child's crib mattress from 2006. It's fine, no stains or rips and still firm.

I wouldn't only bc it's going to be 5 years old this year. There's a lot of use over the years especially in the beginning when infant sleep so much. Just like an adult mattress, they wear over time. I'd buy a new one.
ETA: Even though it's a Colgate, which I think is what we got (they are in the $200 range right?) I'd still buy a new one.

I would still use it as long as you feel it's still in good condition.
Mattresses for adults easily last 10 years...I'm sure this would still be in great condition. Colgate mattresses are high quality.

DD is still using the one from DS and it was from 07. I think it is fine. I don't let my kids jump on it though. eta: we have the same Colgate reversible one too. As another poster said mattresses are good for 10 years.
