Insulation Costs
This freezing weather has made DH and I think about having a company come to blow foam insulation into our walls. Our house is about 60 years old so I know the previous insulation is most likely insufficient.
Has anyone done this? How much does something like this cost? Any companies to recco?

Re: Insulation Costs
If you want spray foam, your walls have to be down and the beams exposed.
But if not, you can have cellulose blown into the walls. We had insulation blown into all of our outside walls, the 3 walls in our garage plus the garage ceiling. I think it cost us $5K for everything. DH keeps track of our monthly electric/gas bills on a spreadsheet and he said that it has reduced our heating and cooling costs. It's been 2 yrs now.
