GMC Arcadia
I'm debating on getting a new car and I'd love some help/advice.
I have a 2011 Kia Sorenta and LOVE it! It's actually the first car that I've ever owned and do not want to get rid of. My lease is coming to an end in September and I need to make a decision to buy it or lease a new car.
I have a 4yr old, 3yr old and I'm due with #3 in July. Having 3 car seats in the 3rd row is going to be tight. My 4yr old is now in a high back booster seat and I'm looking to get my 3yr old the Radian car seat because they are the thinnest. This could work with the infant car seat but will still be tight but doable (i think). Now the problem with this is I'll never be able to drive anyone else in the car. I do have a 3rd row but there's not enough leg room to have an adult sit back there and it'll be difficult to take out the car seats just to have someone jump back there.
I was thinking of getting a GMC Arcadia because they have the 2nd row captain seats which will allow my 4yr old and 3yr old to sit in the 3rd row, the infant car seat in the 2nd row but the option of having another seat (or two) available. The cons is that it's more money.
I do not pick up people often but every so often I have my neice/nephew or have to pick up my MIL to go somewhere.
Do you think it'll be worth it to pay more money for an Arcadia or just buy the Kia and hope everything will work out?
***I would love a Tahoe but the money is just not there for that...that'll be my next car in about 10yrs ***
TIA

I love the Acadia, but that's not the only truck with captain seating. You can also look in to the Buick Enclave, the Chevy Traverse, Ford Explorer and Dodge Durango.

Re: GMC Arcadia
I have the Acadia and LOVE IT... we have the Denali and I love that it has the captain chairs, so much easier getting in and out of the 3rd row.
I compared the cubic feet in all the trucks that were similar to this one and felt this had the most room.

Re: GMC Arcadia
I've done so much research and wanted a vehicle with captain seats. Enclave is way more money try looking at Chevy traverse. I ended up with a Honda pilot even though there is no walk through. My kids are very comfortable with an infant carseat, convertable seat and booster. I didn't believe they would fit but they do with plenty of leg room. I personally thought the Arcadia was tight in the back surprised for how big if looks from the outside.

I thought only the Arcadia and Tahoe had Captain's seats. Looks like I'm going to do some more research. This is great...Thanks.

GMC Arcadia
Love my Acadia. I have the Captains seating in the 2nd row and have myself sat in the 3rd row with my girlfriend for trips. We're both on the larger side and were fine in the 3rd row. Plus the trunk space is nice even when the 3rd row is up. We had two car seats (large ones) in the 2nd row, us int he 3rd row, and in the trunk two strollers, many bags, etc. Plenty of room.

Re: GMC Arcadia
I have a Buick Enclave with a 3rd row and Captains chairs in the middle. It is similar to the Acadia and Chevy Traverse (they are all built on the Lambda platform), and runs a bit more expensive than the latter. However, the 3rd row is a complete 3rd row, big enough to fit adults. I've sat in the 3rd row many times when we take my parents with us and my dad sits in the front with DH and me and my mom sit in the 3rd row with my son.
The way I have it now is my infant in a rear facing seat behind the passenger. My 6 year old DD in a high back booster behind the driver and my 8 year old in the 3rd row in a booster seat. I keep the 60% portion of the 3rd row down for some trunk space, but easily can put it up when we use the 3rd row and the strollers and such still fit in the back. Not a ton of extra space, but it works for us.

Re: GMC Arcadia
We are 90% set on getting the Acadia bc we will have 3 carseats and it seems like the perfect fit, without going the Mini Van route.

Re: GMC Arcadia
I LOVE my Acadia. We got ours used - its an 09 with 40k miles on it and we got it for about $20k, huge difference from a brand new one. We just got it 5 months ago and I absolutely love it.
