If you could afford everything you wanted

What would you get for the baby?

If I could afford the over $800 price tag I would soooo get the Origami stroller!

I played with it at Buy Buy Baby, what a mistake! It's so easy to close!

What about you? Any dream items you wish you could swing?

If money was no object I would honestly recreate one of the awesome bedrooms from the Pottery Barn Kids catalog. OMG!!!..............the furniture, the bedding, the decor, the layout. They are beautiful. I would LOVE to create an awesome kids space like the ones they show. So awesome!! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: If you could afford everything you wanted

I would have gotten the reclining rocking chair at BBB instead of the glider/ottoman set from BRU. It was a few hundred $ more though.

And I know my DH would have bought a new white crib to match our DD's white dressers. Instead we are re-using our DS's crib which is a dark brown/almost black color crib.

I would have also gotten the Motorola video camera with pan and zoom capabilities for both kids rooms. We bought one for the basement for when my son is playing down there, and it's so convenient! Buying 2 additional ones for the kids rooms was too $$, so I went with a Summer Infant video camera instead.

And I'd also buy a bigger house, so my children don't have bedrooms the size of closets lol.

Re: If you could afford everything you wanted

Honestly, I can't really think of something I would buy. I feel like we have it pretty good. We're not living in the lap of luxury but are comfortable. Sure there are things I choose not to buy bc they are very expensive, but I also learned from having DC1 that an $800 stroller is still just a stroller. I will say though that I probably think this way bc I already have a DS. You'll come to realize that sometimes the really expensive items will still pi$$ you off and you'll be kicking yourself wondering why you didn't buy the cheaper version.

This is very true.

I felt so much more informed and knowledgeable this time around. It took me like 20 minutes to decide on a double stroller because I knew all the features I wanted and what questions to ask. I got what I needed, not what I thought was cool and convenient.

A nanny, and a house with a playroom

other than that, most of those expensive things out there aren't really thaaat much different than the regularly priced ones

although that damn self folding stroller makes me think of the Terminator and i would probably have nightmares thinking about it coming after me in the middle of the night! Chat Icon

I would want a chef and maid! I would make a huge playroom with lots of cool toys for him/her and for me to play with too....I'm such a kid!!
I would buy an RV and my DH and I would show the baby the world!

LOL me too. I'd fly Baby as Art in.

Id also extend our upstairs and convert our garage for a huge open greatroom/kitchen and a playroom on our first floor. We hopto do this one day but its not all that likely.

Live in cook
Pay my parents a salary so they could retire

A bigger houser to include:
more bathrooms
more bedrooms
master suite
huge playroom
finished basement

Didn't think we'd be having three kids. Our house was perfect for two.
