Has anyone done a yellow & gray nursery?

I'm browsing around on Pinterest and found some adorable ideas for a yellow & gray nursery. We're staying team green and are having fraternal twins... I want to do something that's gender neutral, but where I can add also blue and/or pink touches when the babies are born. Do you think gray, yellow, pink and/or blue is too much? Would just yellow & gray be too girly? Here are some of my inspiration pics...

I love love love this color combination... I think it's great for either a boy or a girl. And you can always add accents later to make it more boyish/girl.

Right now we are doing gray and white. We are team Green and haven't decided if we will use yellow as our accent or wait to see if it's a boy or girl and due navy blue or pale pink!

I LOVE the idea of adding some pink and blue if you have a boy and a girl. I didn't do that for my twins and always feel bad that she doesn't have anything "girly". Yellow is great too though!

We are team Chat Icon and are doing a grey nursery. I am waiting until after the baby is born to decorate and add color. Here are some of my inspiration pages from pinterest.

This is what we have so far...still deciding if I like the curtains (one will go back to store when we find out) and its still kind of a mess but you get the ideaExternal Image External Image External Image

I absolutely love this color scheme! I was originally thinking a neutral color and tying it in with brown, however after seeing this it makes me change my mind! Very nice for both a boy or girl :)

We are team Chat Icon and will be doing a Gray and Pale yellow nursery...

Once the baby comes, I do plan to accent with a pale blue or pale pink...

So to answer your question..I think you can totally add Blue or Pink after the baby is born!Chat Icon

Yes! We were team green and did yellow and gray and it came out beautiful! Now that we had the baby (a girl) we introduced some purple and lavender. You can see the progression below of where we started and what we added….feel free to FM me with any questions!

We chose a yellow and gray theme for my daughter's room. I absolutely love the color combination. I get such a relaxing, feel-good vibe when I'm in her room.

We chose Benjamin Moore Pigeon Gray for the bottom half of the walls and BM Lemon Sorbet for the top half of the walls, separated by a white chair rail.

Her bedding set is NoJo Bright Blossoms, and her furniture is white.

Here are some purple accents. The bookcase area is a lil hodge podge but working on it!

Re: Has anyone done a yellow & gray nursery?

I had the bedding made! Bought all the fabric on fabrics.com and had someone local make it. I know there are some sellers on etsy that make nice stuff too but the local lady I found was much cheaper than the etsy ladies! Also I saw Pottery Barn has a pretty grey and yellow set!

Also I was going to incorporate navy blue if it were a boy….but did purple for girl! I still need a rug but cannot decide.

The bookcase was from Target - not sure if that question was aimed at me or not?

WOW, I didn't even think to do that... what a great idea! I just checked out the PB Kids set, but it's under Girl Nurseries. Do you think it's too girly?
