1 hr glucose test
did your dr require you to fast?
if so does that mean i have to go in the am and take off work to do so??
i really don't want to take a day or half day for this

I did have to fast and I had the day off already since it was some holiday. It doesn't take long though.

I did not fast. Mine was at 445 in the afternoon. My dr said that you aren't supposed to fast for the 1hr. I passed if that makes a difference

Yes, I have done it twice and both my OB and the lab said to fast in order to obtain the most accurate results.

My dr told me I didn't have to fast. I took it at 5 pm. I failed by 1 point. I passed the 3 hour
My first pregnancy I fasted (took it first thing in am) and passed.

The 1 hour glucose test is a non-fasting test. And actually, the most accurate results are when you do not fast. I'm not sure why some drs tell you to fast, but it's better to get accurate results by seeing how your body would handle glucose under "normal" conditions to ensure you have a safe pregnancy.

My OB said no. The lab said yes. I had to go back another day.
