need advice on how to handle DD waking cries

DD (7 mo) had the flu and bronchitis last week and of course I gave her all the extra love she needed. She slept in our room next to us. Now that she's better and in her room ,she won't sleep more than 2 hours waking up cry whining. I think she's checking to see if we are around. . We tried to leave her in the crib and soothe her by rubbing her back. But she just screams more until we pick her up. Then she will settle down and go back to sleep. As soon as you put her back in she starts to cry. At this point you can get her calm by just by holding her in the crib with the binky. Three nights in a row is killing me.

What have you done that works?
I feel like I created a problem and now I'm not getting any sleep and she's not either..

maybe she still feels a little lousy ? A week after the flu and bronchitis seems close enough to seem ok but still not feel 100% I'm not 100% after a common cold for a good week or more.

I wouldn't consider it a problem (but thats me) instead I guess its a set back. You'd have to start over.

best of luck to you

We had the same issue when DS got sick. One night of a long CIO took care of the situation.
