Stockings or no?
I know it's considered a no no but it is going to be FREEZING tomorrow night! It's a black knee length one shoulder dress.....stockings or no?

I just don't ever wear stockings when I'm getting dressed up, especially if it's a formal event.

If they're good quality stockings I think it's fine. Nude or black only though.

In this weather yes I wear stockings.
As long as they are good quality and very sheer.
I can NOT go out with bare legs in this weather... it would be like wearing shorts!

I find stockings to be uncomfortable so I never wear them. I wouldn’t mind, bec I get really cold, but I’m just going from the car inside so I have to deal w the cold. I say whatever you are comfortable in, who cares what others think, do what makes you feel confident or comfortable

No stockings ever IMO. You aren't going to be outside for an extended period of time and its not like a pair of stockings will really keep you warm.

Thank you everyone. It's been a long time since I've gone to a winter wedding and being over 40 I wasn't sure of the proper etiquitte.
I ended up going WITHOUT stockings. I found that 95% of women had no stockings, a few had black and a few nude. To my surprise it wasn't bad at all considering it was freezing! I'm always cold and was happily not cold throughout the night. I used the sally hansen airbrush legs and got compliments, some even saying they thought I had stockings on! This stuff is AWESOME!
