Switching formula question

I didn't.....switched and DS never even cared.

I recently switched him to milk and he had issues. Not with the taste but his stomach couldn't handle it....so when you make the switch to milk def do it slowly since the gentlease the protein is partially broken down and the milk might be tough on their stomach.

Re: Switching formula question

I've mixed 50/50. If you don't your baby will not starve themselves.

Re: Switching formula question

We usually don't mix, we only mixed to use up the little bit we had left.

This is useful information. The problem we are having is she is VERY gassy, she struggles to pass it and grunts and groans and only poops about every 2 days. Usually needs help (belly massage, holding legs, sometimes a suppository) past few days she has been crying a lot more.

Dr. Said we could switch or try corn syrup in the bottle?

I'm afraid of disrupting things here

my older daughter had the same issue. once we switched to gentlease it got better. but we put gas drops in EVERY bottle and that def. helped! i found that mylicon didnt really work well. we had luck with infants gas-x and little tummies.

this time around we went straight to gentlease when we were able to take them off of the extra calorie formula the doctor had them on. i didnt want to deal with all the gas/poop issues again!

Switching formula question

we are in our 2nd week of gentlease. We didnt mix and went from newborn to gentlease. DS was put off by the taste at first... but I kept pushing the bottle. He still makes this funny face and pushes the bottle away once - but then I try again and he takes it like a champ!
