Can you rec your OB who had the flu shot??

I am TTC and looking for the preserv free kind and it is sold out everywhere! I know many of you mentioned that your OB's gave it to you-- can you tell me those OB's? I'm going to start calling around offices today. My OB does not give it

Are you going to switch OBGYN just to go to one apt for a flu shot? Try a cvs/wallgreens or a family practice. I think I heard cvs has preserv free. Especally now that they can give it to children there. And if you are just ttc now I wouldnt stress over it. Even if you get pregnant right away it wont be full force in your body in 6 weeks when you begin sharing blood flow with the baby.

All pharmacies are sold out of the preserv free one so far :/ They all told me that preg and TTC women should only do the preserv free one and won't give the reg if there's even a small possiblility that I am preg (which I could be).. this sucks!

Try calling a bunch. DH had to call a few before he found one that had it. He didnt specify preserv free though. Maybe they will get more in since they can now admin to children.

Try your primary doc. Unless you plan on switching ob's I wouldn't schedule an appointment just for the flu shot. Most ob's give them though. Try Dr Nodelman at LIWHCG in Mineola. I went to this practice during my last pregnancy and got it without requesting it.

My primary doc office doesn't exist from the hurricane It was a home office and he was older so he is not working out of a new place as of now. I made a NP appt with another Dr. but the wait is horrendous bc of the flu! I will keep calling around, thanks ladies.
