BD after giving birth

i think i waited 2 or 3 weeks definitely not the suggested 6, i had a super easy recovery and had no issues at all, it was a little more sensitive but that's it

The reason I ask is that I'm 3 months pp and it hurts to even try. Is something wrong?

Re: BD after giving birth

Still hurts me and I'm 8 mo PP (therefor we have very little BD time here) I think breastfeeding has contributed to the discomfort. Had the OB check and she really can't find anything wrong so she thinks it is just the hormones associated w/ breastfeeding. Even lube doesn't helpChat Icon

This is me too (minus the OB check). It sucks. I feel like a freak & feel so bad for my hub.. We try to bone but it just hurts to much & we have to stop & I feel like that is worse than not trying at all!!!! Meanwhile I had a C SECTION so how does any of this make sense?!?!?!? Chat Icon

I waited 3 months and it hurt a lot because I tore and still felt soar. It literally took several months to feel somewhat better. Use lots of lube and just take your time!

We waited 8 weeks , but I had a c section. It did hurt a bit the first time, and my doc said it was hormonal. I think it was bc it had been so long and I was worried about something breakingChat Icon I also waited 8 weeks after 2nd c section

If I delivered naturally I would have waited a year Chat Icon Chat Icon

BD after giving birth

I waited closer to 10 weeks PP with DS and it still hurt like hell. I waited another 2 weeks before trying again because I was afraid of the pain and it still hurt but not as much. The pain lessened each time but it did take a few weeks before it completely went away. Definitely use a lot of lube and take it slow. I delivered vaginally and BF if that makes a difference.

I waited 8 weeks and I was so nervous, but it really wasn't bad. It hurt a little but nothing terrible.

Re: BD after giving birth

We got back to BD'ing fast after our last 3 babies. Nothing was different.

After:
Baby#1- 3 months PP
Baby#2- 9 days PP
Baby#3- 11 days PP
Baby#4- 9 days PP

All my births were vaginal births. I had stitches after baby#1 and was scared to do it for monthsChat Icon As soon as the bleeding stops we get right back to it. Things felt the same just days after birth. DH says it felt the same on his end too. I BF'ed with the last 3 babies(still am BF'ing my 21 month old).

Re: BD after giving birth

It was months before we tried (4?6?) b/c I just had a long recovery "down there" And in the beginning it was not comfortable. Honestly, I wasn't into it until the little weaned himself off the breastmilk. Now I'm back with a vengence! It's been so long since I've enjoyed it (pretty much since first trimester) that I was wondering if something was just wrong with me!

Good luck!

You know what scares me- everything looks different down there. Is it possible that the dr sewed me up wrong?
