DH at HSG?

I am scheduled for an HSG next thurs. I told my DH to take off to be with me, but the nurse said he can't even go back. Should I just go by myself? Did you go alone?
What am I in for as far as after? I have heard cramping and to take motrin.

DH at HSG?

I went alone, drove myself there and home with no problems. I had some cramping but took it easy. It was not as bad as I thought it would be.

DH at HSG?

I took him with me. I was so scared, and they let him in the room and he held my hand. He had to wear a shield but the dr, radiologist and tech were ok with him being in the room. Dr Lydic performed the procedure at stony brook hospital. I probably would have been okay without him though, because it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I was told to take 600mg of advil 1 hr prior. Had some cramping during and afterwards. I would have been able to drive myself home if I went alone.
We do these procedures at my job too, and the patients come alone, and tolerate the procedure well. It's a relatively quick procedure with minimal discomfort.

I didn't bring DH with me. The actual procedure was a little uncomfortable but I was fine to drive myself home. Good luck

I brought DH and I'm glad I did. He can't go in with you, but I had severe cramping for about 40 minutes afterwards and he sat in the waiting room with me. If he weren't there, I don't know what I would've done. Also, I began to feel lightheaded, so he ran out and bought me a juice. After the 40 mins, but cramps quickly went away and I was able to take the subway home.

DH at HSG?

DH came with just because I was nervous but honestly, he didn't need to be there. He couldn't come into the room with me and I only had cramping during the procedure - once it was over I felt fine.

Everyone is different, if it will make you more comfortable knowing that your DH is in the waiting room then I would bring him.

DH at HSG?

I went alone. I found the procedure very uncomfortable and I think I got myself so worked up that after it was over I just went home and took a nap. I did not have any pain or cramping afterwards.

they told me to bring someone with me bc I couldnt drive afterwards...I brought my GF...

My DH went with me, but he has to stay in the waiting room. I would have been fine to drive myself there and back.

He didn't go with me - and technically didn't need to be there but I was extremely nervous and cried like a baby during it. I suck at pain, so that's the only reason it would have been good to have him there (didn't realize I'd react that way). You'll be fine!

Thanks everyone for the responses. I think I am going to go solo and have my dh save the day for something more important. I appreciate all the feedback.
