Disney Stroller help (sorry to be annoying!)
I have a side by side double stroller, but have been hearing that I should take individual umbrella strollers. We are going to spend most of our time at MK, and are at a monorail hotel, not sure if this would change it.
What do you suggest? Thanks!

Re: Disney Stroller help (sorry to be annoying!)
We brought a front/back double stroller because it was the only double we had, and we don't have 2 umbrella strollers.
I think you'd be fine either way, with 2 umbrella or a side by side since they both recline. It is a lot of walking, so we took turns pushing the kids (and the stroller became very heavy). So if you don't want to always be pushing as stroller and can switch off, go with the double. If both of you don't mind always pushing something, go with the umbrellas.
Most of the time your stroller(s) will be parked while on the rides, so it's not like you'll need to maneuver on rides. On the monorail you'll probably have to collapse your stroller if its side by side bc of the poles in the middle of each car.
I do know, you should have rain covers for whatever strollers you have. I can't tell you how many soaked strollers we saw bc people didn't have covers and left them in the pouring rain. We had a double cover for ours and would put our stuff in it to protect it from rain while on rides. We also used it to cover whatever we put in the stroller while on rides so no one would come and grab things out of it.
On a side note, get this cooler . Freeze it at night, put frozen water bottles and soda in it in the morning and you'll have cool beverages all day long. We kept in the back of the stroller and had drinks to keep hydrated all day.

Re: Disney Stroller help (sorry to be annoying!)
I saw some people pushing the umbrella strollers that can be joined with a clasp. I thought that was cool and wished we had one. We only use our double stroller on vacation so it wasn't worth it for us to buy one.
We liked pushing our double city mini around. It worked as our cooler as we brought lots of drinks to the parks as well as our snacks. We went in December and it also was our coat rack because it often got warmer as the day passed. All that cargo would never have worked on an umbrella stroller.

If you are at a monorail hotel go with the double. We used a city mini double. No problems at all. It is the one that most of the companies are renting so you will see tons of double city minis. Also it has a great sun shade, reclines if anyone wants to nap, and good place to store things.
Also you have 4 boys right? If you bring 2 singles who will hold the older two kids hands. With one double you leave one parent's hands free to grab and chase.

Very true, but my parents will be at the parks with us. But I am def going to go with the double. So much more comfortable!

We used 2 singles the last 2 trips and for us this has worked out better. I *almost* rented a double but in the end just used what we had and it was fine. We also had a few extra adults to help with pushing so that wasn;t an issue. I was glad we brought both because DD would not sleep in the stroller I brought for her but had no issues sleeping in DS's stroller- it was a lifesaver!

Disney Stroller help (sorry to be annoying!)
I only had a sit and stand so I bought a double umbrella on Amazon for $70. The brand is dream on me and its one of the few double umbrellas that have baskets underneath. I also bought two of those jeep mesh bags, mesh cup holder, and rain cover for another $20. I use one of the mesh bags and the mesh cup holder on my other strollers too. We actually booked almost a year in advance so I bought the stroller right away when it wwas on sale like a month later and we have used it sooo much, lol, who knew. I looked into rental but I want to use it at the airport plus wdw is only one leg of our trip so I may use it after wdw too. I looked into that connector strap but was turned off bc the stroller won't fit through standard doors the way a real double is designed to just make it.

Re: Disney Stroller help (sorry to be annoying!)
Honestly, I would just rent a double from the park and avoid having to bring anything. I only have 1 kid so its easier to get from place A to B with 1 than 2 but it was nice to not have to lug a stroller or worry about it getting stolen or anything.

Disney Stroller help (sorry to be annoying!)
We brought our City Mini Double (I wanted it for the airport too) and had no issues. We stayed offsite and got it onto the monorail easily and both kids were comfy in it. I had no issues fitting through doors or anything.
Just one suggestion - if you have a City Mini, put something on it to easily identify it since most of the stroller rental companies down there rent City Minis out - there are so many!!!
