does teething really cause
a 1 year old to skip his afternoon nap (he does 2 naps) and be awake from 10:30am until now?
I put him in his crib at 6:30 and you would think he'd pass right out but he's STILL awake!!!! What the h*ll?!?!?!?
is this normal? could something else be the reason for this?
my 1st wasn't a bad teether at all so this isn't something i'm used to.
ETA: granted he's getting both his eye teeth at once and 2 more.

It could be teething, or that's he's ready for one nap. My DD switched to one nap around her 1 year birthday. It wasn't consistent and some days she would nap twice still, but by 13 months she was only napping once a day.

Yes! At least with my kids. I was always able to tell with both my kids that they were teething bc their sleep schedule would be off. They wouldn't nap. They would usually have diarrhea too.

Yes! I have found that between both the twins teething can throw everything.

I agree. DDs a bad napper to beguin with so I never know if it's her teeth, something else or just her stubborn will to stay up

Re: does teething really cause
My daughter has been known to boycott naps when she is teething and when a cold is coming on her. It is her Thing.
