ok girls! tell me how you get your nails gorgeous/. what base coat do you use, what top coat (fast drying preferably). do you use cuticle oil, special hand cream? help me! right now i am doing nailtiques #2 everyday, under my polish as a base, then an oil i have had for years lol, then i use olio di argan hand and nail cream from italy. then clean my nails, polish, and top with "out the door" topcoat (which i am not sure they make anymore lol). just looking to see what everyone else does, and any good tips!! thanks!

Re: news years resolutions: pretty nails myself
Well my nails only look gorgeous on the first day because my nails are weird and don't hold polish no matter what I do
Even when I don't have polish on I use cuticle oil and hand cream as often as I can remember it. After I put the cuticle oil on I let it sit for a minute then push my cuticles back before adding the hand cream.
If I am going to polish, I wipe my nails off with acetone polish remover. As of right now, what works best for me is Nail Magic (which pretty much does the same thing as Nailtiques) under my polish, then color, then Butter London PD Quick Topcoat. It's super expensive but doesn't shrink my polish like Seche Vite does and it dries *almost* as quickly.
If I didn't need the Nail magic I'd use Butter London Nail Foundation, it's a great matte base coat.
After my polish is totally dry I use CND solar oil on my cuticles, rub in gently, and then use hand cream.

When I give myself a manicure I do the following:
Wash and dry hands. Apply Carol's Daughter Lemon and Jojoba Cuticle Oil. Push back cuticles with an orange stick. Use L'Occitane One Minute Manicure Hand Scrub. Rinse and dry hands. Apply Ahava Mineral Hand Cream.
I do not use a base coat. I notice that when I do, my polish doesn't last nearly as long.
Apply nail polish color. Apply Sally Hansen Hard as Nails topcoat.
Soak hands in ice cold water for 3 minutes. Will come out completely dry. This also helps to remove any polish from the skin.
