Did I miss it..?

Hey ladies - I'm new I've been "lurking" a little bit and everyone seems early helpful.

Question, DH and I are TTC. I stopped BC and we waited until my body cycled through before TTC. My cycle has been 28 days for years (like clock work) Last month i was 33 days and I received a smiley face on CD day 19. (I'm thinking OK, maybe my cycle will be longer then 28 days bc I stopped BC) This month I started testing OPK on CD 7 and its now CD 22 and NOTHING! Has anyone experienced having a smiley face one month and not the next month? Did i miss my O day? Maybe i didn't O this month.. (I tested twice a day starting CD 12) I had EWCM last week but never received a smiley face.

I'm wondering if i should stop using the OPK for the rest of the month and start testing again next month. Thoughts?

Its possible your cycle may be off since you've recently got off BC. My first cycle after BC was about 30 days then my cycle after that was 40. It takes a few months to regulate. I say keep using the opk. Good luck!!

Either you missed it or your cycle is just off. Many people believe OPK's are not 100% accurate bc many factors can influence the results such as urine that is too diluted, not testing at same time each day, fluke test.. I heard to go by EWCM and temping as more accurate factors. I use the CBE OPK's with the smiley and love them- never had a misread. Try again next month and start tracking early and document until you start seeing a pattern. Good luck!
