If you introduced formula while ebf please come in.
So my maternity leave has come to an end I've been very fortunate to have four and a half months with my son whom I ebf. Since its time for me to get back to work, I'm going to need more sleep. I want to try to give my DS formula during night time only and the rest of the feedings I want to pump and give him bottles and slowly wean him off the boob. He is very attached.
How did you introduce formula? How did it go? DS has taken a bottle before without a problem so that won't be an issue.

At first I did just formula at night. Just gave in a bottle as I did with breastmilk. Once I had to start supplementing all the time I did half formula and half breast milk right in the same bottle. DD didn't even know the difference. Drank normally.
Good luck with it and with going back to work. I had 5 months home with DD and it went so fast.

we introduced formula just before I went back to work, because I really thought my supply was going to change with the added stress and the freezer stash was low. I EPumped for them. both twins threw up the entire bottle. We tried one more brand and the same thing happened.
I was not too keen on the idea of formula to begin with and then seeing their reaction, we decided I would just keep pumping. We made it through!

If you introduced formula while ebf please come in.
My supply gets super low at night and dd was crying so we sucked it up and gave her formula because my stash was running low. We out it in her bottle (same amount if bm she would get in a bottle) and she took it. We give her 4-5 oz every night before bed and when she is super fussy she will get formula and boob

I too just headed back to work and we started supplementing with one big bottle of formula (Similac Advanced) before bed. It takes him a long time to drink it...don't think he likes it too much.
I still EBF on weekends and give him pumped milk during the day.

I EBF all day and just give DD one bottle of formula before bedtime bc my supply is low in the evening and she was crying and getting frustrated so I gave in and gave her formula. She took to it fine but still lets me breastfeeding her for all her other feedings, so no problems w nipple confusion.

I had low supply at some point while I was home and I think that I gave her 1/2 &1/2 in the begining. She never had nipple confusion but definetly liked certain nipples over others. Now she takes bottle formula, BM and breast no problems
