Re: Dying your Hair
I waited until I was 14 weeks, as per my OB and MFM. I've dyed it regularly ever since.

Re: Dying your Hair
While I was PG, I switched to the veggie dye that you can get a Whole Foods. I asked my OB about it, and she said, definitely nothing in the first trimester, after that, she doesn't recommend it, but wouldn't tell me no, either.
What she said was "I am not going to tell you it is OK bc no one knows for sure, and bc it is cosmetic and not NECESSARY for your well being, I am not going to tell you go ahead. With that said, it IS more dangerous for you and your baby to get in a car everyday and drive, but I am not going to tell you not to drive. It is up to you."
So, just to be safe, I went with the veggie dye. Win/Win.

Dying your Hair
I only highlight. My hairdresser doesn't like to dye pg women's hair. She likes to be better safe than sorry

Re: Dying your Hair
I dyed my hair. I have a lot of premature grays. Doc said hair coloring was ok but other things weren't. I'm guessing perm, keratin etc. DD is perfect!

Re: Dying your Hair
I was given the okay to dye my hair -- just no perm or keratin.

Dying your Hair
I was given the OK by my high risk perinatologist after 14 weeks. I chose to do Colorgems with no ammonia, but I did have peroxide in the color. They didn't put it on my scalp, and I wore a mask when they did it.
