this site has a bunch of places listed, but I would call or check conditions online before you go, because many have limited tubing right now due to conditionshttp://mommypoppins.com/newyorkcitykids/hit-the-slopes-in-an-inner-tube-this-winter-break

I also wanted to add, read each one's rules if you have children, because they are so vastly different! Some you have to be 42", some have an age requirement, etc. Some also have family tubes, some do not. We plan to go this season, just not sure where yet. Blue Mountain was looking good because they have family and single tubing, but all of their lanes aren't open yet.

We did go to Fernwood in PA a few years ago, and their tubing was a lot of fun! Their resort is a dump though, so don't stay there (I won a trip there).

I'm not sure if they have tubing, but this is near where my cousins grew up...very close.

thunder ridge

There's also a place in orange on the way to a friend's house, but not sure of the name...2 hours tops.

Powder Ridge has tubing in CT. This is near my aunt's house - about 2 hours as well.

Camelback in PA is great. As a novice skiier, I've had a great time there!

We went to Campgaw Mountain in Mahwah NJ the other day and it was great! Such a short drive (30 minutes from the GWB) you can easily go in a day and come back. It's a small place, two lifts, and about 6 lanes. The people were friendly, no crazy unruly teens and college kids like you often see at ski places. The price wasn't bad, $24 for 2 hours. You have to buy your tickets online in advance though, because they DO sell out. My DD is 5 and she had a great time. They fit right down in the tube, and it's not too steep or too fast. Perfect for kids!

just went there at the beginning of the month. it was great!!! and soooo organized. before i went (after i planned the trip), i was on their FB page and only ready bad reviews about the park, so i was pretty concerned about what to expect.

but it was great!! all the lanes were open and both of the magic carpet rides. the waits were not long at all and everything was really organized. it was a group of 7 of us and we all had a blast!

Can you tell me how the magic carpet thing works? The places we have been only have the tows that pull you up while sitting in the tube. Do you stand with your tube on it the whole way up? Do you feel unsteady on your feet?

the magic carpet is just like one of those "moving sidewalks" like they have in airports. the only difference is that its on a slant. i felt steady the whole time. the only slightly annoying things is that sometimes the tube moves, but you are holding it by its "leash". so its pretty easy to just pull back closer to you.

it was pretty easy and simple

Shawnee has tubing. We go skiing there and brought the kids tubing last year when they were 4 and 5.
