Re: How much does your 3mo -4 mo old weight?
My son is a whopping 19.10 lbs and 27 inches long. He is 4.5 months. Yeah, I make giants lol. He's ebf and my dr has no issues with his weight. He's proportionate.
DS was also 7.12 lbs at birth. Yeah he's a big boy but so what...they're healthy

Dd was 19 lbs 11 oz and 26 1/4 inches at her 4 month, Ebf too. She was born 9 lbs tho and the weight does slow down. She was 21 lbs 15 oz at her 6 month and 24 lbs even at her 9 month appt. I love my chunky baby thigh rolls!
And Ped wasn't worried about her weight at any point since she was following her curve and Ebf. I am tall too 5 9 so she will probably be tall like her momma

My ped keeps making jokes like oh you need to put him on a treadmill, he even told me to out DS on a strict schedule His comments are really starting to get to me. my DS will be 4 mo in about 10 days , I also EBF. He seems to be gaining 2 lbs a month. My DD was actually pretty big baby too. I'm not worried about his weight or anything like that, but I was just curious .

If I had a ped like that, I'd consider switching. DS1 was chunky for the first 6 months, especially compared to his length (i.e. 75th percentile for weight and 25th for height at 2 months old). My ped didn't comment at all. His weight gain really slowed down by 9 months. FWIW, BFed babies tend to gain weight faster during the first 6 months. The WHO even has a separate growth chart for BFed babies.
