How does your 4 month old go to sleep?
My first LO was very consistent at this age, fell asleep during last bottle at 8/9 pm and was very peaceful.
Ds # 2 is so grumpy and never ever ever falls asleep durin his bottle at bedtime or any time.
He either drinks a little and screams the whole time or is just wide awake when he is done.
It was so much easier with ds # 1 and I feel like my 4 month old is still acting like a newborn.
How does your 4 month old fall asleep for the night?
(silly question I know!)

Dd has to nurse. I know shouldn't let her because it will be harder in the end but she will scream her head off. So you think your Lo has gas? My dd screams when she has gas pains

Not sure if it is gas but maybe I should try those gas drops!

You are very lucky that he is doing this at 4 months. My first DS may have did this, dont remember, but it was very easy for him to go to bed at this age. Even if my LO falls asleep he starts screaming when he hits the mattress. I think he prefers sleeping on his tummy and he has already started flipping in the middle of the night. I am just too afraid to actually put him down on his tummy even thought Im sure he would be fine.

Re: How does your 4 month old go to sleep?
This is my 2nd too...DS is also 4 mos old. Do you FF or BF? I FF and DS used to scream on the regular formula...have you tried switching formula? I use the sensitive kind now and no more screaming. I also use the gas drops. He doesn't fall asleep on his last bottle - my DD did. But DS does go to sleep ok in crib right after bottle. I just have to swaddle him still very tightly b/c his startle reflex still wakes him. I feel like he's too big to be doing this but I can't deal with him waking himself...it scares him (the flailing arms) and he wakes screaming which means I have to go in his room several times a night to give him a binky. He sleeps SO peacefully swaddled very tightly - he's BIG though, 19 lbs at 4 mos. I know my ped will tell me to lay off the swaddle. He does not roll over at all yet on his own...I feel like he's behind on that from my DD. If he did I'd def have him out of the swaddle but he's not rolling yet at all.
Good luck! Also have you tried sound machine? I turn it on for last feeding, feed in dark room and at times he will nod off but always wakes when I swaddle...but then he goes right in ok and is asleep within a minute. Maybe try the sound machine - see if that helps.

Thanks! I dont think your DS is behind with rolling. My first didnt roll from front to back until 5.5 months. My little guy only does this in his sleep so no clue how he gets over! I FF and I never even thought of switching but he is ok on the formula during the day. He just cant get comfy at night. I stopped swaddling when he was only a few weeks old I think so now Im sure he would hate it. I also dont use a pacifier but I am getting to my breaking point and may start using one soon! (was trying not to give him on) I do have a white noise machine because he is such a light sleeper. My older one can sleep though anything!
